Scraped 26 newsletters, found 95 brands that already pay for ads.

Sponsor Scraper
No public screen to show, so this is an illustration of the idea, drawn for this site.
The story

I wanted to know which brands actually pay for newsletter ads, not which say they might. So I wrote a scraper, ran it over 26 public Substack and Beehiiv newsletters and collected 121 ad placements from 95 different brands, with the newsletter name, placement date, promo code and source. The Rundown AI had 15 different sponsors, The Deep View 12, Superhuman AI 11. Some brands repeat across newsletters: Vanta, AWS, IBM, Unblocked, Bearly AI. For a newsletter owner those are no longer cold leads. The open question I put to my audience: is this a real problem, and what would you pay for, a one-off list, a living database or alerts?

A dataset that turns cold sponsorship outreach into warm leads.

How I built it
  1. 121 ad placements across 26 public Substack and Beehiiv newsletters, normalised to brand, date, promo code and source.
  2. Repeat sponsors surface automatically: Vanta, AWS, IBM and others across several newsletters.
  3. The output is a lead list for newsletter owners: brands already spending in their niche.
